Abstract:

This research paper critically analyzes the implications of the 2019 amendments to the Special Marriage Act on property rights in India. The amendments aimed at addressing certain lacunae in the Act, particularly concerning interfaith marriages. This study investigates the impact of these amendments on the property rights of individuals involved in such marriages, exploring both the intended outcomes and unforeseen consequences.
